Why You'll Love This

This healthy dip uses wholesome ingredients that is high fiber and consists of healthy fats. This dip is easy to make and can be served with fresh vegetables or whole grain pita bread. The hummus can be stored for 5-7 days. The quality or taste may start to deteriorate after a few days...if it lasts that long. Make sure to store it in an airtight container and do not fill the container to the top.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp tahini
  • 2 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemons
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Add the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to a food processor or blender
  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth
  3. If the dip is too thick, add a few tablespoons on water until it reaches your desired consistency
  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl
  5. Garish with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika
