Different Fall Variations:

  1. Apple and Pecan Baked Brie: Replace the cranberry sauce with a mixture of sautéed apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar, and top with chopped pecans.
  2. Fig and Walnut Baked Brie: Spread fig jam on top of the Brie and sprinkle with chopped walnuts for a sweet, earthy flavor.
  3. Pumpkin Butter and Almond Baked Brie: Use pumpkin butter as a topping and add sliced almonds for a fall-inspired twist.
  4. Pomegranate and Pistachio Baked Brie: Swap the cranberry sauce with pomegranate arils (seeds) and sprinkle with crushed pistachios for a fresh, crunchy variation.
  5. Maple and Rosemary Baked Brie: Drizzle the Brie with maple syrup and add fresh rosemary sprigs and toasted walnuts for a sweet and savory combination.

What to Dip in It:

  • Crackers: Whole wheat, multigrain, or water crackers work well.
  • Sliced Baguette: Toasted or fresh slices of baguette are perfect for scooping up the melty Brie.
  • Apple Slices: Crisp apple slices provide a fresh, sweet contrast to the creamy cheese.
  • Pear Slices: Sweet and juicy pears pair beautifully with the flavors of Brie.
  • Pretzels: Offer a salty crunch that complements the creamy and sweet toppings.
  • Vegetables: Raw carrot sticks, celery, or bell pepper slices for a lighter, crunchy option.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese (about 8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds work well)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)
  • Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving

For Homemade Cranberry Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice zest

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If making homemade cranberry sauce, combine cranberries, water, sugar, and orange juice in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Place the wheel of Brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish.
  4. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the top of the Brie.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the cranberry sauce and drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the Brie is soft and melty.
  7. Carefully transfer the baked Brie to a serving platter.
  8. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme if desired and serve warm with crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices.
